This thick and heavy houmongi is made of very high quality silk. The extra thick, dark purple silk combined with the lavish, and also high quality, blue and red lining fabric, makes this a very wonderful piece.

The elegant pattern - silver embroidered peonies and triangle - stick out quite a bit because they are only on a few spots on this homongi. For being from the 1970s, this kimono is in excellent condition.
